This newsletter is for those of you who wanting some guidance on how to balance your Ovulation-Menstruation cycle or are curious on how the XX-chromosomes function over the course of a month.

Sometimes, I’ll have masterclasses with guest experts on all things hormone-related on topics like nutrition, sex, inner child, and much more.

Other times I’ll have some journal prompts for reflection & connection to your hormone cycle.

But over the next couple of weeks, I’ll send a series of emails with tips on how to balance your hormones emotionally, physically, mentally, nutritionally through each of the four phases of the woman’s cycle.

Here’s a little bit about me so you can understand who all this stuff is coming from:

I’m Pauline. I grew up in a French household in a small town in Oregon. I got my period at the age of 13 and every month had awful 2-week long bleeds & debilitating cramps.

So I went to the doctor for some insight and the only option I was given was to go on the hormonal birth control pill.

“Wow, yes of course!” I idolized doctors. My dream was to become a doctor so I took the pill every day and later did my Undergraduate degree in Spanish & Pre-Medicine.

Once graduated, I moved to Portland, Oregon where I would sneak into Oregon Health & Science University classes (before fully committing myself to the immense amount of stress & money). Most of what we were learning about was what pharmaceutical drug to prescribe.

I would raise my hand to ask “But wait, why do they have diabetes? Why are they like this?” and the professor would respond with “You don’t need to know that, you just need to know what drug to prescribe.”

I quickly realized that the Western medical system wasn’t about teaching health but more about the pharmaceutical drug business.

That was the turning point for me. I left my dream of becoming a doctor and went traveling.

Working remotely and traveling the world was my passion. I loved it! I was living the dream life.

But I somehow felt empty and disconnected inside.

Why was I feeling like this?…

And then, I realized that it had been 10 years of being on the pill…

I wanted to be more natural, more connected to myself.

So I quit. Cold turkey.

I went through a year of depression and lost half my hair.

I had no idea what was going on. I would cry for no apparent reason and stress even more by the handful of hair I was losing.

Thankfully one day, a friend came to me and showed me the wonders of our hormone cycle, with the different emotions, nutritional & physical needs for each phase.

I was astonished!

That moment changed my life forever.

Once I learned what foods, movement & mindset I needed for each phase of my hormone cycle, my hair, happiness & sanity came back.

Now enough about me, let me entice you with the wonders of hormones 🌈✨

Hormones are the chemical messengers that connect your mind & body.

They affect 6 vital systems: your…

  • brain
  • immune system
  • metabolism
  • gut microbiome
  • stress response system
  • sexual reproductive system

& they reeeeeally affect most of your thoughts, decisions, actions, reactions, desires & cravings.

It’s crazy how experiencing something (like speaking with a friend, how you interact with a stranger, who you decide to go on a date with, what to eat…etc) would be different depending on where you are in your cycle.

Your hormone cycle is your blueprint on how to live, because your hormones are just trying to make you survive & reproduce, and most importantly, find balance.

If your hormones are out of balance, then you’ll experience symptoms like fatigue, low libido, weight imbalances, hair loss, acne, digestion issues, cramping, depression, anxiety, and anything else where you just. don’t. feel. good.

If your hormones are balanced, you’ll have thriving energy and no PMS or period pains that hold you back from following your dreams.

When you balance your hormones, you solve 99% of your problems since they affect all of your vital systems!
